We chose the 2015 Heartland Sundance RV 3280 RES to be our full time RVing home because:

The Heartland Sundance has extra elbow room for us tall folks:

I am 6’4″ so I also need the head space that comes with the 2015 Heartland Sundance RV 3280 RES. The two slides in the living area and the 10′ living area/kitchen ceiling make it livable.

Our fifth wheel has 3 slides, one of which is a slide for a king size bed.

The model was very hard to find. We actually had to drive from Montana to Minnesota to find one in our price range that wasn’t a complete wreck.

Most campers in Montana are seasonal and have children so the models here call for multiple sleeping areas and eliminate living space.

Heartland Sundance RV King Bed:

Finding a one bed, king size model was difficult where we live. We ended up paying $24,000.

These bodies of ours require a king bed, we couldn’t full time RV without one.

Choosing an RV

I found this narrow storage table to put in between the bed and the wall.

RV Lock Keyless Entry:

You can purchase the keyless entry from Amazon and add it to your fifth wheel or RV. Our fifth wheel already had keyless entry when we bought it. I will add it to any RV we live in in the future.

This in awesome convenience. If you live in a fifth wheel or RV it is a must to install keyless entry. This is the keyless entry unit we have.

Full Size Bath Tub:

We have two shih tzus and need to keep them smelling fresh (they sleep in the king bed with us). So we need to have a standard size bath tub so that we can bath them often. The Heartland Sundance 3280 has the full size bath tub.

Jena uses this papaya coconut dog shampoo and body spray. They smell so good after a bath.

Multiple RV A/C Units:

The 2015 Heartland Sundance RV 3280 RES has two air conditioner units. One in the main living area and another in the bedroom. Jena likes to sleep in an icebox so this was a must. Both units work very well and push the cold air throughout the fifth wheel.

RV Storage:

The 2015 Heartland Sundance RV 3280 RES also has a large volume of storage. We have done a good job of trimming down our stuff, but you don’t have to as much because it does offer a great deal of interior cabinets, under the bed and under the deck storage.

The kitchen has a large pantry and the previous owner added additional shelving throughout to maximize the usable space. We use clear storage totes throughout our storage areas so we can see the contents inside.

RV Towing Capacity:

Even at its size it is towable with a 3/4 ton pick up. It is designed to be towed with a short box and capable of almost 90 degree turns. This comes in handy when navigating campgrounds and negotiating tighter areas.

RV Layout:

We really like the 2015 Heartland Sundance RV 3280 RES because the layout provides us with an open concept. We took the dining chairs out and pushed the table against the wall to create an office. Jena will be working full time and needs multiple computer screens, a printer and other office related equipment.

We were able to make her a functioning office space without compromising our living area. The kitchen has an island rather than a peninsula. We wanted this to keep an easy flow rather than cutting of the living area from the kitchen. We are tall folks and need the extra elbow room. Did I mention we are RVing with a rabbit?
