It feels like we just got here, but at the same time it feels like we have been here for months.

I’m surprised at how much I am digging this RV lifestyle. Make cookies, eat cookies, yup, I feel at home.

We are scheduled to leave North Carolina next Tuesday. And just like Natalie Imbruglia, I’m torn (you thought I was going to say that I was lying naked on the floor, didn’t you?). Sorry, 90s lyric reference. I’m torn because I love North Carolina, but I also can’t wait to spend some more time in Tennessee. Dollywood Christmas, hello!

Thankfully, we can come back whenever we want next month, next year, next mid-life crisis.

Plus I NEED to head south asap. When did I become such a wimp! The cold, even 50 degrees is just BLAH! One more month and we can be in warmer weather. I will also be 35 then. So probably an even bigger wimpy pants.

Here is a look at our time in North Carolina

Charlotte Speedway NASCAR Racetrack Drive

Christmas Party at Grace Church

Thansgiving at Cracker Barrel

Charlotte Hornets NBA Game

Charlotte Christmas Village

Outerspace Escape Room

Asheville Tour

We created a routine quick with our everyday to-dos

  • Took dogs to groomer
  • Took dogs to dog park
  • Went to the gym – Planet Fitness
  • Went to church – Grace Church
  • Went to the laundromat
  • Found a notary to get our new truck plates
  • Grocery shopped – Food Lion is awesome!

It’s interesting how quickly we created a routine. Now, we will have to find a new gym, new laundromat, new dog groomer and grocery store.

I love the people

The people here are so friendly. They also have cute accents (I’m gonna get me one of ’em). I catch Zach trying to blend in every now and then.

No, seriously. We have found the friendliest, happiest people wherever we have been. Even when we kept getting asked to leave the building after the Charlotte Hornets game, the folks were so pleasant as they escorted us off the property.

Yes Arnold, we will be back!

All in all, we have had a great time here. I think it will be even better in the spring, summer and fall. So we will definitely come back. I want to bring all my favorite people here and build a commune. Imma do it.

North Carolina does have a leg up on Tennessee with the fact that we have family near Charlotte. Only time will tell if we prefer North Carolina or Tennessee.

Hey leave us a comment and tell us what you have been up to!
